Flood watches have been in effect for much of the morning for Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties and now the NWS has extended that Flood Watch until 4 p.m.  Some areas in northern Hernando and southern Citrus counties have already receive 5-8"+ and another 2-5" is possible this afternoon.

Outer rain bands of Tropical Depression Beryl will continue to train showers and storms over the area.  That will also include a few strong thunderstorms with gusty winds and frequent lightning.

Many low lying areas will begin to flood and you can expect to find some roads flooded.  "Turn around, don't drown" is a rule of thumb when you come upon flooding conditions.

The rain will slowly taper off this evening as Beryl slowly moves NNE and away from the area.
