Tampa, FL-- Buccaneer great Derrick Brooks told 10 News he's not surprised by the Bucs' lengthy search for a head coach.
"When I heard Joel Glazer say they would conduct an exhaustive search, I was thinking anywhere from 24 hours to 3 months," said Brooks. "They don't seem to be in a hurry, and want to get it right."
Brooks was appearing at the new D-1 Sports Training Facility in Tampa, over the weekend. Brooks is a co-owner, along with Chipper Jones of the Atlanta Braves, Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos, and pro wrestler Chris Jericho.
When asked if the lack of a head coach could worry the younger members of the Bucs, Brooks said, "They should be using the time to start preparing for the 2012 season. You don't need a head coach around to fix the problems from last season."
