Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - Erik Karlsson totaled four points on two goals and two assists as Ottawa chased Kevin Poulin before the game was two minutes old and cruised to a 6-0 victory over the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum.

Poulin was yanked after allowing scores 27 seconds apart to Karlsson and Jason Spezza in the first 1:35 of action.

Craig Anderson stopped 28 shots to notch his third shutout of the season for the Senators, winners in three straight and four of five.

Spezza also tallied twice, while Brian Lee and Chris Phillips added scores for Ottawa, which posted its largest margin of victory on the road against New York.

Al Montoya finished the contest by giving up four goals on 27 shots for the Islanders, who have alternated losses and wins in their last nine games.
