Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Royals signed relief pitcher Tim Collins to a one-year contract on Friday.

The 22-year-old Collins went 4-4 with a 3.63 ERA in 68 games for the Royals during his rookie campaign in 2011.
