Oklahoma City, OK-- The USF softball team lost its opener in the Women's College World Series, 5-1, to 4th-ranked Oklahoma
The Sooners were led by Player of the Year Keilani Ricketts, who struck out 11 and hit an RBI triple.
The Bulls struck first in the 4th inning, when Kourtney Salvarola singled in pinch-runner Ashli Goff.
The Sooners answered with Lauren Chamberlain's 2-run homer in the bottom of the 4th, to give them a 2-1 lead.
OU added 3 runs in the 6th to put it away.
USF will play next on Saturday at 12 noon, against the loser of the LSU-California game.
