(tennessean.com) - A Brentwood man, annoyed that a Wilson County ambulance had blocked his car while responding to an emergency, hopped in the driver's seat and tried to move it while paramedics were loading a patient, police say.
Warren F. Melamed, 65, was arrested Saturday on a count of unauthorized use of a vehicle. Mt. Juliet police say the rescue crew responded to the 300 block of Killian Way in Mt. Juliet for a medical emergency and were loading the patient when they heard the engine suddenly start. Police say the ambulance crew was able to stop Melamed before he could move the ambulance.
Melamed told officers he was mad because the ambulance was blocking his vehicle and so he figured he would move it, police said.
