There's new evidence of the power of positive thinking.

A study published in a journal of the American Heart Association finds that an optimistic outlook on life might lower your risk of having a stroke.

The research suggests that people with a more positive attitude make better choices about their health, like taking vitamins and exercising.

Dr. John Deveikis, an interventional neuro-radiologist at Bayfront Medical Center and also the local spokesperson for the American Heart Association, spoke with 10 News about the study. Watch the video above.
