St. Petersburg, Florida -- "Survivor" returns for a 24th season on Wednesday and, once again, someone from the Bay area could walk away with a million dollars.
Monica Culpepper is one of 18 people hoping to outwit, outplay, and outlast everyone else on "Survivor: One World."
You may recognize her name; Culpepper is married to Brad Culpepper, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer who is now a successful attorney in Tampa.
Since Monica Culpepper is in a CBS-ordered media blackout (until she wins or is voted off) 10 News found out what she can expect from a couple of people who know first-hand.
Mikayla Wingle was on last season's "Survivor: South Pacific." She was voted out on the sixth episode. Jan Gentry made it to the very last episode of "Survivor: Thailand" and came in third place.
The "Survivor" veterans talked to 10 News anchor Heather Van Nest about their experiences on the show and what Monica Culpepper can expect. Hear what they had to say by clicking on the video.
"Survivor: One World" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on 10 News.
