Tampa, Florida - If you listen carefully, you can hear the sounds of nature lurking at Busch Gardens.
But it's not the usual animal noises patrons are accustomed to hearing.
These are the sounds of kids taking part in the Junior Zookeeper Camp at Busch Gardens
During the summer they turn into curious wildlife investigators.
Each time camp counselor Amber Wisler brings out a new furry or feathery creature you can see eyes of the students light up.
Amber has been a camp counselor for seven years. Before working here she was an elementary school teacher.
She says this is by far the largest classroom she has ever worked in and the animals are wonderful teaching assistants.
As for the campers, many of them want to work with animals one day.
13 year old Kaylie says she wants to be a veterinarian one day and loves the hands on interaction with the animals.
Then there is 12 year old Drake who wants to be an architect.
He says seeing the animal in their environment has made him think about where he will one day build structures.
Drake says knowing that so many animals may call a single tree home he will think twice about where builds.
Amber says that’s really the goal of the camp. She wants to teach kids to have respect for the earth, the animals that live in it and each other.
