Many parts of the country have been experiencing mild winters and little snow, but Miami took the cake Sunday.

The Florida city saw record temps of up to 87 degrees, which beat the record of 86 degrees set in 1957 and tied in 1988, The Miami Herald is reporting.

Fort Lauderdale also reached 87 Sunday, but it did not break the record of 89, according to the news organization.

The break in the weather came as thousands of tourists were in town for the Miami International Boat Show and Coconut Grove Arts Festival, according to the Herald.

A cold front is set to move in Monday, but temperatures are expected to warm up again toward the middle to end of the week, Bob Ebaugh, a weather service specialist with the National Weather Service in Miami-Dade, told the news organization.
