CARLISLE, Pa. -- Police say a central Pennsylvania woman is facing DUI charges for piloting her motorized wheelchair with a blood-alcohol level at least twice the legal limit for drivers.
The Carlisle Sentinel reports Middlesex Township police arrested 63-year-old Connie Lebo early Wednesday morning after responding to a report about a woman crawling through a yard. Police say Lebo told officers she'd twice crashed her wheelchair, flipping it the second time.
Middlesex Township police say Lebo was taken to a hospital and consented to a blood test. She was subsequently charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of .16 or higher. The legal limit for drivers in Pennsylvania is .08.
Lebo did not immediately return a phone message left for her Thursday.
